Armathwaite Hall, four star family hotel in the Lake District, takes family guests very seriously. Family accommodation includes spacious rooms with extra beds for children, interconnecting rooms offering space and privacy and deluxe family rooms with integral bunk bedded rooms. Children under 12 years are accommodated FREE of charge for bed and breakfast when sharing with two adults. (Excludes family rooms with bunk beds).
Situated in the beautiful English Lake District between the two market towns of Keswick and Cockermouth, there is a wealth of fun and exciting things to do for all the family. For the energetic you can climb England's highest mountain or walk around the deepest lake, swing through the tree top on Tarzan swings and zip slides, try your hand at sailing a Viking ship or test your nerve on the Via-ferrata. If that's all too much then there are a host of interactive attractions and museums from the roman invasion to the world’s largest pencil!
For older Children Armathwaite Hall Country House Hotel and Spa have teamed up with a local outdoor activity centre to create an exciting programme of activities which can be enjoyed by just the children or the whole family. The events take place at suitable locations off the Armathwaite Hall estate in the beautiful Borrowdale valley. Qualified instructors will guide you through the activities creating a fun packed adventure to remember for a lifetime. Dogs are part of the family and are welcome at Armathwaite Hall. Selected bedrooms are available suitable for those bringing their faithful friend. Dogs are accommodated at a cost of £15.00 per dog per night and receive a bed with cushion, dog treats, waste bags and suggested walks. Please note that dogs are not permitted in the public rooms and must be kept on leads in the surrounding gardens. Situated on the Armathwaite Hall 400 acre estate is Trotters World of Animals Wildlife Park, our very own family attraction offering a great day out for all. Families staying at Armathwaite Hall receive the special admission rate of adults two for the price of one and children go free. Visit the Trotters World of Animals website. Trotters World of Animals is home to hundreds of rare and endangered animals, birds of prey and reptiles with daily demonstrations, soft play centre, gift shop and tearoom.
