The Spa is a multi million pound development taking its inspiration from the rich timber of the woodland and the serenity of the lake. It features a 16 metre infinity pool with indoor waterfall, thermal zone with hydrotherapy pool, sauna, aroma room and steam room, fitness suite with state of the art gym equipment and outside a large hot tub overlooking a landscaped garden. Upstairs there is a dance studio, 10 treatment rooms, a tranquillity room, manicure and pedicure area plus a private lounge.
During your stay, dining can be arranged in the fine dining Lake View Restaurant or in the Courtyard bar and Brasserie Restaurant offering a more informal, contemporary menu for lunch or dinner.

The Lake District nesting Ospreys return each year mid April from wintering in Africa. From our telescope in the Conservatory watch out for these magnificent birds swooping down to the Lake Bassenthwaite to fish for their supper.

The Osprey Bus operates around Bassenthwaite Lake with stops including outside the gates of Armathwaite Hall. The bus takes guests to the view points at Dodd Wood and Whinlatter Visitor centre to see for yourself and learn more about these amazing birds of prey.
