Job Title: Waiter / Food & Beverage Assistant
Reporting to: Food & Beverage
Department: Brasserie / Conference & Banqueting Manager
To be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of all Brasserie/Conference Rooms and Banqueting, working closely with all teams and with other departments to ensure the company hotel standards are constantly maintained.
To be aware of the days business and ensure all departments are prepared, opened and organized.
Greeting, seating, and taking the order from the guest after presenting the menu.
Communicating to the kitchen and bar for smooth and efficient service.
Ensure that you are well groomed and uniformed at all the times.
Assist your Manager at all times in the areas of Brasserie, Conference and Banqueting.
To ensure that you are up to date and well briefed regarding events, company activities and functions.
To ensure that you exceed guest expectations and stimulate repeat business
To review and make recommendations regarding the customer feedback.
Ensure quality of service in line with AA requirements and standards set by your Manager.
Deal with complaints and guest comments in line with company and department guidelines.
Address problems in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with the licensing laws; Health & Safety and other statutory regulations.
Requisitioning all necessary items for the department in time.
Controlling breakage and shortage and report to your Manager.
Taking monthly inventory of all equipment.
Maintaining the cleanliness of the department.
To be proactive in self development.
To promote the image of Armathwaite Hall Hotel & Spa.
Willing to share freely knowledge, information, ideas and experience to assist others.
Works with and supports others department; Fine Dining Restaurant, Hall and Cocktail Bar.
Shows awareness/sensitivity/tolerance towards cultural differences by moderating own cultural behaviors.
Understands the need to work together to create an environment of cooperation and mutual responsibility.
Coaches team members on the job, gives demonstrations for ‘on the job’ training.
