Job Title: Beauty/ Massage Therapist
Responsible To: Spa Director. Therapist Supervisor, Spa Operations Manager
Functional Links: Duty Managers. Head Receptionist
Responsible for: Providing a comprehensive range of Beauty Therapy and Massage treatments projecting The Spa at Armathwaite Hall’s professional image and exceptional customer care at all times. To nurture and encourage Junior Therapists to achieve The Spa at Armathwaite Hall standards of excellent customer care and service.
Main Responsibilities
- To create and maintain exceptional Customer Care and service
- To strictly adhere to The Spa at Armathwaite dress code and to achieve Armathwaite Hall Spa’s high standard of presentation at all times
- To achieve and maintain The Spa at Armathwaite Hall’s standards regarding treatments.
- To assist the Spa Director, or his deputies, to ensure the smooth running of the Beauty Therapy Department and Reception.
- To set a good example to and be an exemplary role model to Junior members of the team
- To carry out any supervisory tasks required for the needs of the business as requested by Spa Director or his deputies
- To be punctual and prepared for all shifts, arriving at least 10 minutes before the start of your shift.
- To maintain The Spa at Armathwaite Hall standards regarding room hygiene and presentation.
- To educate guests regarding homecare and treatments
- To undertake Reception or Host duties as may be required
- To achieve retail and treatment targets set by Spa Director or Treatments Supervisor
- To participate in regular Team Meetings
- To read all memos and newsletters filed in the Therapist Kitchen/staff room so that you are kept up to date.
- To read Message Diaries, Standard Operating Procedures regularly to keep up to date
- To abide by The Health and Safety at Work Act.
- To offer help to any guest or team member
- To portray a positive and professional attitude at all times
- To attend any training course provided by The Spa at Armathwaite Hall to improve your skills.
- To help with the end of month stock count.
- To ensure that all therapy rooms and waiting areas comply with Health and Safety regulations.
- To carry out any other duty required to meet the demands of the business
