Spa Assistant / Cleaner

Job Title: Spa Assistant/Cleaner.

Responsible To: Spa Director, Assistant Spa Manager, Duty Manager

Functional Links: Receptionist, Senior Therapists

Responsible for: To project the professional image of The Spa at Armathwaite Hall Spa at all times. Maintain a clean and tidy appearance in all areas of the Spa at all times. Maintain all laundry and toiletry supplies to all public areas.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To create and maintain exceptional and luxurious ambience for all visitors to The Spa at Armathwaite Hall with maintained cleanliness and tidiness at all times.
  • To portray a professional attitude at all times. To offer help to any guest or team member as required.
  • To strictly adhere to The Spa at Armathwaite Hall dress code and to achieve The Spa at Armathwaite Hall high standard and exemplary presentation of yourself and the Spa facility at all times
  • To be punctual and arrive 15 minutes before your shift starts so that The Spa is ready for guest’s arrival.
  • To liaise with Hotel laundry to ensure adequate supply of leisure towels throughout your shift and to manage toiletry supplies for toilets and changing rooms. To liaise with Assistant Spa Manager to order supplies of all amenities, toilet rolls, cleaning chemicals and other cleaning requirements.
  • To maintain high standards regarding the changing rooms, Hush room, lounges, refreshment areas hygiene and presentation as required by Spa Operations Manager and as laid down in the Standard Operations Procedures Manual.
  • To adhere to the cleaning checklist as issued by the Fitness Supervisor and follow timetable for deep cleaning.
  • To be knowledgeable about all aspects of The Spa at Armathwaite Hall, the Spa facilities, the Treatment and Activity Menu, and Armathwaite Hall Hotel facilities.
  • To participate in regular Team Meetings
  • To read all memos, newsletters, messages.
  • To attend any training course provided by The Spa at Armathwaite Hall to improve your skills.
  • To help with the end of month disposables/towels/robes/slipper stock count as required by the Fitness Supervisor or Treatments Manager.
  • To ensure that the towel collection point is kept well stocked with clean leisure towels.
  • To ensure that all amenities in toilets and changing rooms are replenished as required throughout the day.
  • To abide by The Health and Safety at Work Act. To ensure that all waiting areas and other general areas comply with Health and Safety regulations. To make sure that all rubbish is disposed with correctly. To ensure that a yellow sign is displayed when washing floors.
  • To follow all C.O.S.H.H. regulations for chemicals and cleaning products correctly and wear rubber gloves as and when required.
  • To carry out any other duty required to meet the demands of the business
