Spa Treatment Supervisor

Job Title: Spa Treatments Supervisor

Responsible To: Spa Director. Therapist Supervisor, Spa Operations Manager

Functional Links: Duty Managers. Head Receptionist, Therapists

Responsible for: To lead, train and develop the therapy team and oversee all therapy areas and stock. Perform treatments and VIP events.

  • Ensure the efficient day to day running of all treatments by the therapists.
  • To be proficient in all product brands and if required to act as the in house trainer for each.
  • Maintain up to date SOP’s and Product files for all treatments and product houses.
  • Responsible for the production and implementation of a monthly treatment training plan, to ensure all therapists are able to carry out the maximum range of treatment protocols.
  • To lead by example with the therapists, in terms of work behaviour, appearance, revenue generation and professionalism.
  • To carry out any supervisory tasks required for the needs of the business as requested by Spa Director or spa operations manager
  • To carry out treatments including treatments for VIP’s and Press visits.
  • To be punctual and prepared for all shifts, arriving at least 10 minutes before the start of your shift.
  • To maintain The Spa at Armathwaite Hall standards regarding room hygiene and presentation.
  • To ensure the therapist areas are all kept clean and tidy at all times. Ensuring daily treatment room checks are carried out and cleanliness maintained.
  • To manage therapist ‘down time’ scheduling cleaning, stock checks or training to ensure no time gaps are wasted or unproductive.
  • To educate spa reception regarding products, treatments and retail products
  • To undertake Reception or Host duties as may be required.
  • Together with the Spa Director, set monthly retail incentives, then train and motivate the therapists to achieve these consistently
  • To participate and when required to take regular Team Meetings
  • To read all memos and newsletters filed in the Therapist Kitchen/staff room so that you are kept up to date.
  • To read Message Diaries, Standard Operating Procedures regularly to keep up to date
  • To abide by The Health and Safety at Work Act.
  • To offer help to any guest or team member
  • To portray a positive and professional attitude at all times
  • To attend any training course provided by The Spa at Armathwaite Hall to improve your skills.
  • To carry out the end of month stock count and assist the spa operations manager in ordering new stock.
  • Keeping an eye on stock levels through out the month and inform management if this is running too low.
  • To ensure that all therapy rooms and waiting areas comply with Health and Safety regulations. Informing Management of any equipment that is not working immediately and writing in the maintenance book.
  • To carry out any other duty required to meet the demands of the business
