Our Lake View Lounge Upgrade

It is a new year so we are delighted to announce that our ever-popular Lake View Lounge will soon have a beautiful new look. This means that the area will be closed until the beginning of February for renovations, ready to welcome our guests back in time to celebrate Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Easter. In the meantime, guests can relax in the glamorous cocktail bar, conservatory and the Hall Lounge; all of which make for perfect spots for afternoon tea, a light snack or simply to unwind over a coffee.

The newly refurbished Lake View Lounge has been designed to maximise Armathwaite Hall’s magnificent views of Bassenthwaite Lake. To complement our location, the interior is being redesigned in a natural yet modern, sophisticated style.  This includes comfortable leather studded armchairs, warm statement floral patterns and subtle tweed textures, together producing a stunning and welcoming space for our guests to enjoy.  Mood lighting means that guests will be able to enjoy relaxing in the Lounge throughout the day and evening.

New full height panelling with a neutral colour scheme will frame the scenic external views and the brilliant cut antique mirrors will complement the room’s original classic features, including the wealth of historical oil paintings which will be fully restored.

The new Lake View Lounge has been designed and inspired by Space ID, the Newcastle-based interior designers who have helped to make our vision a reality. By giving our Lake View Lounge an elegant update, we hope to make what is an important sociable room within the hotel an even more comforting and inviting environment.

The renovation of the Lake View Lounge is part of our ongoing refurbishment of Armathwaite Hall to bring our guests the best possible facilities throughout our hotel and spa.
