Nothing says summer like a nice picnic. National Picnic Week is being celebrated all across the UK from the 16th – 25thof June, so make sure you don’t miss out on some social eating in the great outdoors.

There is something very special about eating outdoors and a picnic is the perfect way to enjoy the beautiful Lakeland countryside combined with a delicious treat!

Activities
While the picnic itself is the main event, there’s always room for additional activities. Plus, if you’re taking the whole family along, you’ll need to do your best to keep the kids entertained. Here are some ideas:
- Treasure hunt: Hiding away a few of the sweet treats in your immediate picnic area and then letting the kids look for them is a simple but effective game.
- Frisbee: A classic summer game, pack a Frisbee and wear yourself out. Suitable for all ages and any group size.
- Post-picnic walk: Tackle the countryside and walk off your lunch.
Location
