Tote-ally Fabulous Tote Bag Making Workshop
Be your own designer and never be without a bag to match your outfit by creating your own fabulous Tote Bag from scratch with Emma Redfern of Hole House, Caldbeck. Emma is a self-taught seamstress who totally addicted to fabric especially tweed because of its hard wearing qualities. She has a shop in Caldbeck, joined the Wool Clip in 2016, and organises the hugely popular Woolfest in Cockermouth every year.
The event begins at 9am, with Tea and Coffee on arrival. The workshop is between 10am and 4pm, with lunch included.
You will need to bring:
- Sewing machine you are familiar with
- Scissors
- Your choice of material for outside and inside of bag – minimum of half a metre of outer fabric – more if the fabric needs pattern matching – and half a metre of lining fabric.
- Don’t forget your Matching thread!
What is provided:
- Leather handles
- All interlinings and interfacings
- Spare fabric
- Zips
- Metal hardware – magnetic snaps
- Paper pattern and a set of written instructions to take home
