For dessert, diners might opt for the classic Egg Custard Tart or dare to be different with the Brazilian Coffee Caramel. Your three course meal will be complemented by a selection of wines to please even the most discerning palette.

AA Rosette Awards

The Lake View Restaurant has been accredited with 2 AA Rosettes, making it one of Cumbria’s best places to dine.

The Rosette scheme is an award given to restaurants in the UK who have achieved unrivalled quality with their food and service. In the UK, approximately 10% of restaurants have been awarded one Rosette and above.

For AA inspectors, a restaurant is only as good as its worst meal. The Rosette assessment is strict, and much weight is given not only to the taste of the dish, but to presentation and competent service. Competition for the award is huge, and it is becoming increasingly difficult for restaurants to reach this level.

To achieve two Rosettes, a restaurant must boast food that is prepared with care, understanding and skill, a clear attention to the selection of quality ingredients and impeccable consistency in both the food and the service.
