Armathwaite Hall Awarded the UK’s 'Best Luxury' Spa in the 2019 Candis Spa Awards 2019

Armathwaite Hall, the Lake District’s luxury hotel & spa set within 400 acres of private woodland and deer park on the edge of Bassenthwaite Lake near Keswick, has been awarded the distinguished title of ‘Best Luxury’ spa in the 2019 Candis Spa Awards. The Candis Spa Awards, which feature in the May issue of the top selling women’s magazine, Candis, is one of the UK’s leading spa awards.

With the UK public taking more than six million visits to spas annually and the rapid growth of the UK spa industry,  the Candis Awards Panel is recognized as an expert in selecting only the very best to feature in its annual awards. Each spa has been rated for best treatments, value, quality, choice of food and ‘wow’ factor, so readers can be sure of having the best spa experience.

Receiving the award, Spa Director, Roberta Griffiths says: “We are honoured to have been selected out of the thousands of UK spas to receive the ‘Best luxury Spa’ award.  The judges’ comments are testament to the hard work and attention to detail that our spa team apply to our guests’ requirements. We thank them and all our spa partners for helping us to achieve this level of service.”

The awards panel described the spa as ‘super clean and ultra-modern’ and named the 55-minute Holistic Facial – a heavenly facial using natural Bespoke Armathwaite products to cleanse, exfoliate and tone the skin – as the Star Treatment. They also recommended the 55-minute Temple Spa Glorious Mud treatment – a full body-brush from top to toe followed by a nourishing, purifying and mineral-rich body mud mask – as a Treatment to Try, and described the spa therapists as ‘extremely skilled.’ Moreover, they commended the hotel’s food and drink as ‘out of this world,’ and awarded additional gold stars for the complimentary sherry, brandy and port provided on arrival as well as the naturally flavoured citrus water available to guests all day.
